I recently bought the HD chrome switch housings, and was planning on putting that and my new stealth grips on this weekend.

Another thing I was considering putting on while I was doing the work is the HD chrome switches. I think they're about $13, so compared to the price of the other stuff I've been putting on my bike I'm not worried about the expense. But I was wondering if anyone has those on their bikes, and how they like them. I'm a little worried that they will be more slippery than the stock black switches. I'm also vascilating on whether I like their styling better than the plain black or not.

But once I get the chrome housings on, I'm certainly not going to want to take it apart again if I decide I want the chrome switches later!

So I thought I would just ask for some other opinions on it before I'm locked into my decision. So any opinions on this product, or even tips or tricks about putting on the chrome switch housings would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I've got the chrome housings which my dealer put on before I picked up the bike and I've just put the chrome switches on to match. They look great. So far I have not used them whilst riding. Cannot see a problem with the feel, but then I never ride without leather gloves.

I like them.It makes the controls not so cheap looking. The chrome switches compliment the grips and bars.I installed them myself.Real easy. Now I need to get chrome bolts for the covers. My finger doesn't slip on them, but I wear gloves all the time.Look in the photo gallery for more pics that I have posted.

Jav, I have the chrome switch covers as well. I have not noticed a difference in feel. I like the look of full chrome hand controls (I have the chrome reservoirs as well). Though I don't thing that the black switches deter the look either. It's a preference, although if you ride w/o gloves, expect to constantly clean fingerprints off of the chrome switches.

I've got the switch covers also... It really helps finish off the 'oh.. for heavens sake... is the whole d_ _ M thing chrome look"

they get fingerprints.. but hey.. I don't ride it that much anyway

I'd put em on if you have it apart...

Got them too... Might as well go 100% chrome. The black switches look odd on the chrome housings.

I really like them... Did them myself, takes about 30 minutes per side, with a beer in between.

Really make the controls more clean and finished looking. Get some stainless hardware for the controls and man, it's pretty.

Got the switches also, They look realy good, also havent noticed them being "Slippery"

BUT is you have big hands you might want to get the dealer to install them for you, they are hard to install with large hands. Be carefull of the little parts also :ride:
