Ground Pounder Exhaust to Cone or not cone

How many of you with the Fitzgerald exhaust put a cone in it. I went to Fitzgerald s today and picked up my Ground Pounder. Scott started one up for me and I couldn't believe it. Hey I love loud and I'm actually replacing Vance & Hines exhaust Which sound pretty good but I wanted a tad louder. Love the sound but I guess I'll have to wait till I get it on to know for sure. Just wondered how many riders put a cone in it after they bought it.

Mine came with a cone already installed from Scott.
I did not look inside the pipe, maybe I have one. All I know is when Scott started the v rod with the groundpounder on it I was amazed.
Your neighbors with hate you just like some of mine f'in hate me. And if you ride with anybody, you'll be made to ride on the right side. :angeldev:
Sounds like it is going to be like the one I listened to yesterday. Whats the grin factor?
Cone ?

Isn't the cone for back pressure? Mine is over 90Db (measured with a phone app, so It seems to me as "Ghost Pepper" loud..on the chicken wing scale) with a cone.
Copy and paste from Scotts website--

"Made from US mild steel, each pipe also contains a stainless steel cone baffle that is welded into place in the collector. This helps with sound and back pressure, which is needed to tune the pipe properly. No packing material to repack every 2-3 years; just ride and enjoy!"
My 06 SE is at Fitzgeralds now getting cams and other work, went with the SuckerPunch for mine. Not quite as loud at the Ground Pounder but sounds way better than the D&D 2-1 I currently run.

Nice, do you happen to ever ride through N/E CT, possible meet & greet some time this season when you're back on the road
