For those that are interested I just made reservations at the Best Western "Prairie View Inn" in Platte City, Mo. Any current credit card will hold a room and you can cancel up to 4 pm on the day of arrival. Judy (desk clerk) said the 2005 single room rate w/queen bed is $81.00. However if you mention that you are part of the v-rod rally there will be a substantial group discount ($60.00 dollar range). The inn is maybe 10-15 min from the Basswood resort and has plenty of parking for cars and trailers. They have great hospitality and there is a Waffle House across the street ( sorry no White Castle). Ask for Judy....she's the go to girl! 1-816-858-0200

Mike... good work on the discount!

I stayed there this year and liked my room, but the $80+ price was a little steep.... now we're talking fair deal!

They have an indoor pool, large jacuzzi and a sauna too! :thumb:

In the lobby they have a computer with Internet access and complimentary breakfast each morning! lause:

I'll be stayin' there again for sure... plenty of room in the parking lot for trailers! :driving: LOL

Good post HAWG100. The Best Western is very close to Basswood -- the short ride from the hotel to Basswood is mostly country roads, very hilly, really nice and enjoyable. There is also a Super 8 motel right there next to the Best Western, in case someone wants a cheaper stay, or in case the Best Western fills up.

Ok; never mind, I found, in another post, that it’s scheduled again for the end of September. I won't be able to make it again, either. Working for the Government as an Accountant and 30 September being the end of our fiscal year, I can't be out in Kansas, at the Rally and still have a job when I get back. Just like scheduling it for over 15 April for a CPA.

I'll call The Best Western in the morning o see what's up? the place was empty when we were there, of the 8(?) rooms booked, V-Rodders were more than half of them!

I enjoyed the ride with everyone up to basswood, but i got lost one night on the way back to the room..lol
