hey guys im in the middle of re routing some stuff and wondering is it ok to just unclip the fuel lines with the blue and green clips on the fuel tank as long as i have some rags to soak up the fuel .im thinking it will give a bit of a sqeaze of petrol cos of pressure .is that all i need to know

Careful not to break the plastic fitting on the flange that the fuel line attaches to. They get brittle over time.Don't ask me how I know this.

remove pressue from the lines first by pushing in on the valve at the rail .

right side of bike ...black cap unscrew it...hold rag over as you push in on the valve to remove the pressure.

aghhhhhhh good idea ,thanks rod p,s mine has a chrome cap on it ,does that surprize you ,lol,

I ordered extra v valve stem caps so mine has a chrome V on it...lol

I think it a cool idea to add a V cap to the fuel line .
I have spares also
3 of you guys claim to have used tire stem caps on the fuel line .
But the fuel line has a larger stem .
Fess up boys!

I put a hot topper over the black cover.
I don't know the size,but my 2 are larger than valve stems.They are the same size as the old R12 fittings.

We both know that ! But thats my dilema as it was told that a V cap was used as a replacement.
Naturally I run to the garage to try ! :soapbox:
