So I've been chasing a starting issue after my bike sat for way too long with no fuel stabilizer, and think I narrowed it down to injectors being bad. I even took them to a local injector shop in Mesa, AZ who said they couldn't get them back to 100%. So I thought I found the exact replacement on Amazon searching for IWP063 which I found on the originals. The listing even says it is a direct replacement for 27665-01/A. I just got a 2 pack of them delivered tonight and was working on installing them, but I realized the little hole on the neck of them is on the opposite side of the originals which throws off how the bracket attaches. Is there a way to flip the top part of the injectors or were these built backwards? I went back and looked at the listing on Amazon and then on other sites too and I see some photos showing it by the electrical connector (as it should be) and some photos showing it on the opposite side. Has anyone else on here run into this? Is there a better place I can order from to get them fast and with the hole on the correct side?

Correct:
Engineering Machine Auto part Titanium Electric blue

Incorrect:
Camera accessory Camera lens Audio equipment Gas Wood
Hand Safety glove Automotive tire Wood Glove

I don't think I dare trying to modify the injector since fuel runs through it. I used to have an S3T Buell Thunderbolt. I had a guy working on it for me and he installed some modified injectors that he sourced and they overheated, melted the plastic gas tank above it and burned down his garage and my bike... Bad situation, although I used the insurance money to get the V-Rod I still have today...

He said he had stepped inside to grab his helmet when it exploded. Thank goodness he wasn't on it at the time! I'll keep looking or maybe see if the dealer has any in stock tomorrow although I'll probably pay 3x as much for them... What I don't understand is that these that I bought are an EXACT match down to the part number of the stock ones except for where those holes/dimples are...

Most of the time good quality injectors are robust and reliable but there is tiny filter basket at top side which can be clogged over time. Here is video how to remove and replace them.

How to Remove and Replace Fuel Injector Filter Baskets
So after trying a couple more orders (another 2 pack and 2 single packs) and them all coming with the hole on the opposite side, I ended up taking a tiny drill bit to make a tiny "starter hole" and then a bit the same size as the original hole and drilled out just enough to give the prong something to hold onto. I installed them and she started right up! I was being very cautious with modifying them. I think I could have safely drilled deeper but didn't want to go more than I had to.
