Anyone know how close the front shocks come to the triple tree when bottomed out? I tried rocking the bike in my garage with front brake on and cannot get less that maybe 2" away from tree. Reason is, I want to clamp lowers below the tree and the clamp is about 1" thick.

One way to test is to put a zip tie around your fork tube, push it down onto the fork seal dust cap piece, go out for a ride and hit the front brakes hard. Look and see how far up the fork tube the zip tie gets pushed & can see if it will bottom out against the bottom of the lower triple clamp. Assume you have regular forks versus "R" upside down forks.

This should give you an idea of how much space you have to play with.
