I have 2006 Night Rod and I have searched all over the net and on this forum for current information about converting from mids to forward controls.

I have read few treads about conversion but they are quite old and I can not find the parts that are listed (part #) from any online H-D parts shop?

Am I missing something here? Are the conversion parts for 2006 Night Rod discontinued from H-D? Is there any aftermarket conversions?

All help is greatly appreciated!!

I did my old 06 street rod model but I ADDED fronts to the mids. This way I had both and the mod was really good for hiway long cruises to stretch out my legs.
I just changed out the front lower frame rails (I dont think they are as available now days), I added a front set of stock brake, clutch setups and connected the high pressure line at the front to the low pressure line at the rear (rear must be welded shut then drilled and tapped to receive the line.

The best thing to do is swap your mids to someone who has front mount. I'd try on the Facebook VRod groups. I took someone's mids and traded out my fronts easy peasy. He also sent me the highway pegs so I can stretch out on the highway.
Mids are hard to find, so I don't think you'll have a hard time finding someone to swap. Just make sure to do an inventory before switching to make sure you have everything you need.

I had to swap parts with my wife's bike who preferred mid controls.

The issue is not the shifter side but the brake side.

The frame rail for forward rear brake has a mount for the master cylinder. That frame rail for some reason is difficult to get, even from HD.

If you are a handy fabricator you can make a master cylinder mount on the frame rail with some angle bar. That is what the previous owner of my wife's bike attempted to do, he had it close. I had to adjust it first for some reason, but I don't remember why. The brake peddle might have been to high.

Other wise the process is straight forward
