Fender difference btwn 07-08?

So I am striking out on finding a factory baseplate and sissy bar for my 08D (51120-07). Been trolling ebay for months and have checked almost every avenue for "discontinued parts" to no avail.

What Im wondering is this:
whats the difference between the 06, 07 & 08 Vrod rear fenders? Is there a change to the frame from 06, 07 to 08? What makes it so that according to the Harley Parts Catalog the 08 Nightrods have a completely different part number for the base plate. Has anyone had any luck retrofitting a different year's baseplate to the 08D?

My 08 has the 180 rear tire and I was hoping an older model baseplate might work since the earlier V's has 180's as well.

Ive searched the forums and havent found exactly what Im looking for so Im hoping someone has wisdom to share.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the frame (especially the area where the fender fits) changed in 2007.

The inner fender (the structural part that the cosmetic outer fender attaches to) is shaped different in 2006 than the inner fender used in 2007 and 2008 even though 180 tires were used for the VRSCD in all those years.

If you look at the parts catalogs for those years you'll see the difference. (Here's one of several sites were you can find most of the Harley parts catalog diagrams from 1979 to 2017.)
Thank you for this!!! I have the complete paper catalog for my 08 VRSC but didnt have a 07 and Im not a real techy kinda dude so I hadnt even thought of looking online and didnt know where to begin.
