[OK VROD]

Friday night a buddy came by and we took off to head to the casino. 7 miles down interstate 40 I was laying in middle of road with a bashed in skull and broken collar bone knocked out.. Was life flighted to OU Med Center in OKc got there at 8 pm.. I woke up at 11 pm with 4 nuerisurgeons standing over me in ICU. I didn't have a clue as to what happenned until today

I got the Bike back today and found a hole blown out of the case just above the starter... from that and what witness have said I gather I floated a valve and ca-ching... no more piston... Engine locked up didn't get clutch pulled in in time and rear tire locked up. Now the 150 foot slide behind the bike down the interstate. 2 truckers were behind me and they pullled their rigs to center line to stop all traffic from running over me. They told the highway patrol the rear tire just quit turning.
I am shipping engine off to cycle connections pretty soon for further examination and I am sure they will post what mechanical Failure I had... BTW my bike is the 1430 big bore. Just lucky to be home.

I have to ask...were you wearing a helmet? I only ask because of the "bashed in skull" comment, not to pass judgement...you're alive and that's what matters!

Really sorry to hear about the blow-up. What was done to the motor that turned it into a hand gernade (crotch gernade?)? Way too many stories about blown motors and people crashing these days.
