Im looking at a used 2007 Night Rod and was originally told it was a 2008 (so I could assume 1250cc)

Now ive found out the bike is actually built in, and registered as a 2007, so im wondering what engine it has.

Is there any way to spot the difference, is it on the VIN Decal, or anywhere stamped on the block etc?

Is the pic your bike, if yes that is AW and not a night rod. If there is a Z in the vin number it is a 1130 for 2007.

You really need to give us the first part of the VIN. Most V-Rods have decals on the side of the frame that show the previous years date since that was when they were built, but were still the next year's model. You could easily have an '08 model with a date code on the frame of September, 2007.

Check the VIN stamped in the frame. If the 7th letter is an A or Z, it is an 1130, if it is a G it is a 1250. Later models could have a H or J signifying a 1250 as well. The 10th number is the year model, 7=2007, 8=2008.

the only bikes that came with a 1250 were the VRSCX & VRSCSE/SE2 until 2008.
