...Hey all, Curious if anyone here has or knows where to get a curved side mount plate holder....WITH "illumination" (for said plate)???. Love the look of these matching the curvature of the wheel......It's for a DX so of course black is better, but I can have it stripped and p-coated if necc. I know Yaffe makes some, but uber pricey.......
Thanks in advane folks......

www.alloyart.com has one of the nicest sidemounts. I think it is also available through drag specialties
I like 'em...I like 'em alot, but I'll have to see if they'd do black p-coat....too expensive to pay and strip down.......

I made my own too, because of those +$500 prices...

See picture at post #5:

I used an $81 Kuryakyn curved plate mount from ebay and bolted to an arm I machined out of 1/2" aluminum plate scrap. Add in a couple of chrome hex cap bolts form Ace Hardware. Ran the wiring inside the swingarm all the way up to the front of the swingarm, by the pivot point.

After pricing braided wire shielding, I went for an inexpensive metal braiding sleeve to armour the wires, I scrapped an old coax video patch cable I wasn't using anymore. It was like only a $5 cable to begin with. I just cut the cable open and slid the braided shielding part out of it and placed it over my wiring.

Total cost was just under $100.
