Pulled a code of p1481 which is a fan output open/low 4.15 fan operation check does anyone know what this means or how to fix it
if you changed the relay with new one (be careful not to mount it in the opposite way)DTC P1481 is fan relay coil open/low. This means the relay controller (ECM pin #2) is sensing 0 volts (either the 12 V relay coil supply is disconnected or the other side of the coil is shorted to ground). One side of the relay coil is connected to 12 V via the R/O wire from the BATTERY fuse and the other side is switched to ground by the ECM to operate the fan relay. If the ECM senses 0 V at pin #2 DTC P1481 is set. This means either the R/O wire is broken (a blown BATTERY fuse would set other DTCs), the relay is bad or removed, or the other side of the coil is shorted to ground. The later should cause the fans to run continuously.
