My '03 has recently stalled and died (with backfire) several times on the way home from a short ride. This is extremely unsafe in that the bike just died, right in traffic.

Upon arriving home, I have codes 108 and 373 under the P section of the diagnostic.

I did have the fuel flange recall done.
Only other mod's are the powercommander with the v-mod and SE filter.

Could either of these 2 codes have anything to do with the Powercommander?
Loose connection??

A crank sensor and a map sensor both setting codes. That would seem most likely to be a wiring or pcrIII problem since that is the first crank shaft position code I have seen reported. The first thing to try is to remvoe the pcrIII and then road test it to see if the problems or codes return. If not then double check all wiring and connections.

I checked the pcrIII wiring, and the crankshaft position wiring. All looked properly connected.

Cleared the diagnostic codes and went for a ride.

Problem never surfaced again..............lets hope it stays that way.
