Looks nice, I like the red LEDs on the mirror side. One downside of mounting them in place of the pivot pins is you can't route the wires nicely. What I did is had the pivot pins drilled and then routed the wires (I have the Kuryakyn's) through them so the wire is nearly hidden. The Kuryakyn's come with a tin-braided wire that looks horrible IMHO so I replaced it with a regular black wire as I couldn't find anything nicer.

I bought the mirrors as well and really like them. It are mirrors from Jireh-Cycles and they sell them for 80 USD - sorry, but most of you paid a little too much ;-))

As they are not legal in Germany I kept the stock t/s in addition and relocated them with the relo kit of Mainstreet-Motorcycles. Looks very nice. I altered the base of the Jireh's a little so the mirrors fit next to the hydraulic reservoir into the stock holes. I just use the t/s function, so I just needed to connect one pair of wires. The red arrows are just great!

1 problem I had

I removed the factory front turn signals and installed the knock-offs that have the chevron blinker in the mirror and ran into 1 problem. When installed the right turn signal indicator on the instrument cluster remains lit at all times (blinker on or off), also the security key indicator remains lit (bike runs fine).
I have tried an equilizer and it does not resolve this oddity.

By wiring the original front signals back in (leaving signal mirrors in place), the problem goes away. My guess is the vrod system requires some amount of wattage pull so it knows when a signal bulb is burned out or not.

So you know I already run LED rear signals and Docs tailight, so by removing the factory turn signals, my wattage draw is next to nothing.

By the way, I used the original mounting hole, by filing a small amount off (1/32") from the portion of the mirror arm that contacts the reservoirs, I was able to have the arm align properly.

That is odd...
First thing I would check would be to ensure I didn't pinch the wires to the turnsignals. They're mighty thin.

Running both doc's light and these WILL require an equilizer. When I installed ONLY the left turn signal (stock rear), the turn signal would flash slow 3 times then it would flash very quickly (signifying a burned out bulb, or low voltage. Luckily both lights seem to just enough.

Second, if the security light is on, your OBDII may have thrown a code. Can you get access to an OBDII scanner (autozone)?

Checked for pinching, doesnt seem to be any, and the signals work fine, just the indicator on cluster stays on. I agree the equilizer is necessary for proper blinking.

The thing that tells me it is a low-wattage thing is when I "add" the Factory signals back into all this, all indicators on the cluster then function properly.

Have you tried Midwest Motorcycle Supply? http://www.midwest-mc.com/

The part number for the mirror's is 46-142.

tmvick: thanks. they look great. Do the LED's in the mirror detract from the use of the mirror when they are flashing, either in the day or at night? Would hate to start signaling and then not be able to use the mirror.

this was a problem for me so I bought other ones without leds in the mirror side and they are much better.

Brent, thanks...
How the hell do you order?

Based on their website it looks like they only sell to wholesalers. But it did show a list of dealers. I guess I would check there dealer list and contact one of their dealers. Or I guess you could call them and see if they directly what dealer may carry those mirrors.

The only reason I know the mirrors came from midwest, is I saved the end of my box my mirrors came in, just in case I ever needed to get another set.

Also, have you serached on ebay for people that sell them on there?

Thanks Brent,
I've checked ebay (see previous post), and these seem to have disappeared. No idea where they all went. There a relative equivalent called "bikers choice" that look more like the Kuryakyns... They have nasty orange lenses and no red led chevrons on the glass side.

Total bummer I can't find these anymore.

Will these mirrors fit on other Harleys?
BCB, I cant say for sure if they will or not. I believe they are a universal type fit, but I havent owned any other bike other than my Vrod so I dont know for sure.
I would think if the bike has the same master-cylinders as the vrod then you shouldnt have a problem.
