Does anyone wear a carbon fiber helmet. How do they rate with dot and snell. Where is a good place to buy?

I have 2 .One is a Little Skid Lid that won't protect DICK! :tmbsdow: The other is my Simpson/ Fresh Air system Race helmet but it was $1200! :broke: I use the Top of the Line Arai Race stuff.

Take a look at BMW, they have a new carbon fibre helmet. For sure in germany but i think you'll get in USA too. It is tested very well. Teppo

I read that one lid just got DOT approval. It was in a popular magazine last month. I will look , but I give them away. (ironworks,american rider,easyrider,hot bike,hotrod bikes)
No lid has snell that I know of- only full face(I think)

I just bought an NXT half helmet that is a carbon fiber/aramid laminate. Very light and very comfortable and it carries a DOT rating. They also make three quarter and full helmets.
