Picked up a nice Bestem carbon fiber front fender on Ebay for a decent price. Fit and finish are good, and was cheaper than an OEM Harley part.
I like the look. Might try to add more carbon pieces.

Titanium bolts next ? Well HECK YEA !! How about a rear pulley that weighs less than 9 Lbs 😲? A full set of Titanium Axles ? I got the Titanium ( a set of damaged Ti jet engine fan blades, just need to find someone that can melt 'em down and forge a couple axles ) Anyone listening ? Those Bestem Carbon Fiber belt guards have that horrible statement attached ( Except VRSCR ) 😢😭Story of we R Model owners life ! I found another manufacturer of Carbon Fiber parts - www.koshigroup.com/product-category/motorbikes/harley-davidson/vrod
They make C/F alt. side covers, clutch covers ! 😲 airbox covers, the all elusive HORN COVERS !! 👍😃Even seat pans !! VERY VERY Cool C/F products !! Bring Money, you'll need it, I'm scraping some $ together right now for another C/F addiction "fix" !(y)

Motor porn at its best ! Next xmas Santa`s bag is full of titanium and carbon fibre parts. And a brand new custom made Ti- exhaust for my ride...
Wait a second..... WHAT was the price?
Price ? it's worth it Nordic Black ! - money is only A$$ wipe paper if it's not making you more money, or spent on something you really want to improve your life with - we're all going to be dead someday (sooner or later) so live life with a "No Regrets " attitude - you probably do - If you got the money spend it on something that makes you happy and employs others - if you don't have the money have a dream of what you'll do when you get extra money again - and be motivated to earn it. Take that away and we're all just Government Mules waiting for our next freebie handout in exchange for our Freedom - F'k that. Ride 'em don't hide 'em and festoon 'em with Titanium and Carbon Fiber !! (y)

Amen to that philosophy! ^ I`m (along with fellow riders, hot rodders etc) a kind of a criminal here in this tiny green/red climate-utopia-land trying to follow that great way of living you described streetrodracer. But even the heavily taxed fuel (8 bucks/gal) won`t keep from riding the beautiful lakeside roads of my homeland and enjoying the speed of a tuned VRod.
The off season is starting soon so it`s time to check those interesting shops with nice carbon and other precious metal parts. Little blue bottle is whispering there somewhere in the background as well...couple of shots of sweet nitrous will ease the pain greatly...
This sentence is from one of your great writers , Hunter S. Thompson, and I could not agree more :“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

I have the entire body kit plus the belt guards from Bestem (some came with the bike when I bought it) in the matte finish on my F.

It's extremely light weight and holds up well (I have many long distance high speed runs with it, no cracks/etc...).

Is it worth it? Depends on your budget and your taste. I think it gives the bike a bit of an understated Mad Max look without the backyard cobbled together look of some of the Ebay special kits.

Only part I have had to improve was one of the front tank cover button bolts, I needed to add some epoxy on the back side to hold the threaded insert a bit more when I over torqued it one night.

The real unicorn in carbon fiber was the DX style headlight cover I found in carbon fiber (can't recall exactly who made it...MDI or something??? Someone in Canada). Completes the look!
