was wondering if you can re -chrome a set of mufflers
i have a set of SE wondering if you can re chrome it and if so is there anyone out there that can do?

I see no reason why not. biggest headache would be removing the old chrome and sealing the interior to keep all the crap inside the mufflers out of the chromers bath

VROD-G had a set redone.I saw them and they looked ok.He said there was a problem.

I would only guess that with the labor and expense it may be just as cheap to purchase new????

The problem is that many chromers won't mess with them unless you can get everything out of them because they don't want the trash in the chrome vat. Usually it cost less to just replace them. IMHO

Mt local chrome would re-chrome anything but he would charge you an arn and a leg, he are a few prices he has hit me with and keep in mind these were not chrome before I brought them to him which keeps it cheaper..

yeahi figured it would be hard to do....... i have the SE slip ons to bad harley stopped makeing them

they are v modded, i wonder if that would make a difference

i have thought about it thats for sure
