The rotors will need to be changed. If doing the rear make sure the one you buy is for the V-rod because there is a difference between the V-rod rear caliper and the touring rear caliper (I believe it is mostly the tabs for the screen cover which the touring bikes do not have because it is covered by the saddle bag). A few of us have changed over on the older bikes and used our original DOT 5 reservoirs with no problems. The key is to flush the new calipers with denatured alcohol to remove all the DOT 4 and then flush DOT 5 through them and then bleed with DOT 5. Good luck.
