The insurance adjuster called me yesterday after looking at my wrecked SE2. He said the damage was around $12,800. Depending on the salvage value it looks like it might be totalled. He told me that Harleys usually get a 40-60% salvage value. Anyone know if this holds true for the SE's? I am hoping they total it instead of me having a bike I am not 100% sure of regarding residual damage.

Just a follow up that they gave me a salvage value of 55%.

So they are saying what? 55% or more of retail value would be totaled?
I don't know if it is actual retail value, but rather what ever the insurance company uses for a value on the bike. At this point, I think they are using NADA value. They figure the cost of repair and add the salvage value. If that amount is greater than the value they place on the bike (NADA), then it is considered a total loss. They do the same thing with automobiles.
