I want to strip a black slotted front wheel down to bare aluminum. I don't have it in my hands yet so I'm asking if I can do so with chemicals, a beadblaster, or what will I need...??? The ultimate goal is to polish the bare aluminum.

I googled it for paint, PC and anodized and got nothing, but I'm thinking anodized.

They are painted........Don't bead blast the wheel, all you need are a couple of cans of this. Spray on, let it soak and use a plastic automotive body filler squeegee to remove the coating. Hose down with water and a car wash soap or aluminum wheel clear. Works great! I've used it on a couple of pulleys and a front slotted wheel with black center with no issues.
