I've been on the fence about tank bags because of looks, having to use straps, and possible airbox damage. I really miss my old bike touring configuration of having a map handy as well as camera etc. right in front of me.
This bag looks interesting though, and has some kind of quick release. Does anyone have any experience with it? If you check the manufacturer link below (and scroll down), you can see you can add power connectors as well.

Check the specs...

The bag will probably hit the starter button on a full turn in a parking lot....

Yeah, but I think they all do. I'm probably going to reserve myself to storing behind me and buying a GPS to eliminate paper maps.

Beeek, no I always put it on the rear. It rest on the OEM passenger pad and the base plate. The angle of the bag flows with the lines of the bike. One of the guys I ride with commented how the bag really fit the bike's lines.

You may be correct on that for most of them but I did find this one that does not appear to be as cumbersome.

Course, if you really wanted more carrying capacity you'd need a larger tank bag than this one.
I do like the shape of this one and it would be big enough for what I'd want but it doesn't have the map holder and it's magnetic. Would you be putting magnets under the airbox to accomodate this one?

Dude...I have no idea. I saw this at the HD store in Fort Washington and thought it looked cool but didn't try it out or anything. Does look like it would use magnets though.
