There's an article on a Seattle-area V-ROD in the May 04 "American Iron" mag. Pretty good job with the paint. He has a pipe on it I haven't seen before. The article accredits it to "Downtown Harley-Davidson". Anyone heard one of these and have more info?

Yeah, I didn't care for it either. The article says it is a "trademark" of Downtown HD, but I haven't heard anyone on here talk about it.

They did the same pipe (or similar) on a carbon fiber bike on their showroom floor in flat back. Bike looks bad.

Agree, the pipe looks ridiculous on this bike, but very mechanical and tough on a blacked out carbon bike.

They are Fire Extinguishers.
Another rather strange choice I thought. The article didn't even mention them if I remember correctly. At least they are chrome with flames :D
