Can anyone help me with the P/N for the air box cover rubber grommet? I lost one and need one badly. There are supposed to be 2 at the front of the lid where the cover slips into. I currnelty have one and the metal on metal vibration is grating on me. Thanks and God bless,
chris

Part # 11519 Bushing. You might try Loew's for a temporary one, they have one thats about the right size I used as a temp. until I could order a new one.
That reminded me of something. Mine has been missing since the day I picked it up from the dealer. I guess RAY was asleep that day :stilpoke: Seriously though, it is missing so thanks for the part number!!!
I am glad to know that you can reorder these things! I lost one too but I just super glued a gasket from a water hose to the loop that the airbox cover fits into and it has not budged yet and the airbox cover fits as snuggly as it would with the proper grommet. I think I will go ahead and super glue the other grommet down so I don't lose it too.
Yup, Night Rodder is right, put a drop of super glue on the grommet when you install the new one, problem solved.

Amazing! A HD stealership actually had something in stock! I always have to make two trips--one to order and pay, the other to pick the part up. :D

Will wonders ever end??
I think I will take Night Rodder's advice and secure the grommet w/ glue. Looks like its going to run me 3 bucks a piece. Arrowhead Harley has 3 of them. Im getting them all--so if someone else needs one give me a shout.
Thanks again everyone. This is a great site. :D

Hummm, I got two grommets for $2.40, they come two in a pack from my dealer.
Damn I ordered mine a couple weeks ago, and still haven't heard from the dealer. Found the missing piece when doing the topless mod. I think I will super glue them tomorrow.

Hell! Think maybe I should start making these things for a living. Also, when I get home, I'll weld those babies on so I don't have to bend over anytime soon! :spank:
Yep--2.97 EACH. Oh well--now I have two extras. If anyone needs one let me know.

Damn, I only paid 1.40 a piece, and bought 4 for the hell of it!
FWIW, no need to glue them in. If you pay attention when installing the airbox lid, you won't catch the edge of the grommet and push it all the way through. That's the reason you're probably losing them...
Get a tube of 3M weatherstrip cement and add a drop of glue when you put it in.
They do pop out awful easy.

I gave up after local dealers didn’t have any…..went to auto zone and bought an assortment vacuum port caps. Stuck ‘em on the air box “male” pins and shoved it together. Works wonderful, nice cushioning and no rattle.
Old posting but the grommet is 11519. Same grommet is also used on the overflow bottle in the later bikes. 2 for air box and 2 for the bottle.
