Id like to upgrade the exhaust on my 07 Night Rod, but dont want to go so loud that i need earplugs. Mainy going for look, not overly concerned about power increase.

Budget is a factor, but im currently considering TAB slip on Side Exits (baffled), and CFR with a Vmod baffle added. (i currently run this on my other bike, and its just at my personal volume limit)

any recommendations?

Can i powdercoat the existing silver OEM cans black?

1) yes the stock DX cans can be powder coated black
2) if you like the CFR w/baffle, why not just do that again?
3) have you considered doing a power-line exhaust using a stock A/AW can. Photogger did this on his DX and it looks great and is quieter than a CFR exhaust

I'm probably going to do the same thing, but I am also looking at black VHT header paint.

Others have done this with success...
