Hello Everyone,

I have learned mucho grande from this site. :notworth:

Own a 2006 CVO VRSCSE2 1250cc OR/BK - as stock as you can get it.

Would like your thoughts on the following:

My goal is to put a trask turbo on early next year, then after a few years of street riding, big bore to a 1429cc & leave the turbo on it. :)

Option 1.

SERT ~450
Twinscan II+ ~500
Wego IID & O2 sensors(2)

Option 2.

VRFI-D ~850
Wego IID & O2 sensors(2)

I don't want to waste money on new pipes(until turbo installed),
so would it hurt the performance to take the baffles out?
I will have bungs place within 12" of the heads for self tuning.

Once again, This is a great forum, lots of expertise!

Do option 1 for 2 reasons.

1. Most Turbo systems will include an Race Tuner program to match their kit and the last thing you want is a fueling system that your turbo makes isn't familiar with.
2. The VRFID is "end of life" meaning there will not be any additional updates or modifications unless business picks up and that's not likely considering they sell Twin Cam parts 20 to 1 vs. VRSC parts. (The TC motors need a lot more than we do so they buy a lot more aftermarket motor parts ;) )

I chose option 2 for exactly the same reasons that mjw930 posts. FWIW.

Don't you mean option 1 ????? Option 2 is installing the VRFID.

I chose option 1 for my setup. Option 2 wasn't and option cause I live in the EPA target state. Also, for exactly the reasons Mark outlines - I want full control.
