Just a a point of reference to anyone thinking about doing it... I just did mine today

Note the amount of space outside the license plate on the 280 vs the 240.

Looks good, you have almost an inch or width outside the license plate difference. I was going to do a Metz 260 once my stock Dunlop wears, but now I may do a 280. Hey what are you going to do with your stock Dunlop, you have a bunch of tread left?

The bike needs an almost imperceptible amount of additional muscle in some turns. It's not that much worse than the 240. I have the tire but I may have gotten the burnout bug out of my system a few times before I made the swap :dance: so I don't think it would be useful to anyone lol

but when yo put it on a 8.5" rim instead of the 9" rim suggested, you are lucky to get the extra 1/2"

Am I reading this correctly? You can fit a 280 on a standard dx rim with no mods at all? If that's the case, I want in!

Yes.. Had mine on for over 1500 miles and not one problem..

i have a 2013 vrod muscle and i am looking to upgrade my rear tire. does anyone have before pictures and after pictures from 240 to 280 and can i put a 280 on a vrscf stock rim
