I got redirected to this board for advice from v-mod.com. I am wanting to install a 240 rear tire on my 04' VROD. I went to my local Harley dealer "cash in hand" and was ready to make the plunge. My dealer told me that a 240 rear tire would make the bike handle and corner like crap and that the max tire that I should go to remain "practical" would be a 200 wide. He stated that unless I just wanted it to be a "show bike" and not a daily rider not to put a 240 kit on there. I took his advice and went with the 200 tire and it does look and ride nice..but I'd still rather have a 240 rear. Can anyone on here that has made the 240 plunge give me some advice and enlighten me on the ups and downs of this modification? Cost is not a problem!

Thanks in advance for any help!

I did the 240 mod and love it. I drive it daily and have no problem with handling or cornering.
