Hi Guys. first post from FNG.

I decided to but one of those cool aftermarket air box covers.
I followed all the directions and all was looking good until I went to connect the instrument cable back to the speedo.

I found that my cable is not long enough as it comes out right below the bars.

I tried to feed in back under the bars but it is too tight to fit with the connector.

So it looks like I have 2 options.

1. Find someone who makes this cable, buy it and install
2. Cut the connector off feed cable back to its lowest spot and solder wires on as required to add the additional length.

Any help would be appreciated especially if you have done this

Thanks

I think you just need to reroute it somehow as I have my instruments in the cover and have more than enough cable without lengthening it.

You are correct, I cut a few more cable ties and then I had plenty of cable to work with, job is complete, sort of.
