2005 vrod no run but cranks

2005 vrod crank no start. Have checked all wire grounds and positive through ECU TSM and ignition and dash all are good no check engine light on ignition position on the switch check engine light comes on when it's on the accessory position there's no ground at the system relay There Is Power all the fuses are good I don't know if I need to put a new ECM in if I do can it be plugged in and have the bike run? If I unplug the ECM from the wiring harness the bike seems to act exactly the same no run with it plugged in.Help!!!

You will only get a ground at the system relay for the first 2secs when the ignition is turned on. After that the ECM needs a signal from the crank sensor when the engine starts to crank. Once the ECM sees this signal it will reinstate the system relay ground. So you first need to make sure you are getting this signal at the ECM. If that is good it could be an ECM problem. There have been a few incidences of the ECM failing with this problem.

My problem I believe is no check engine light.

Also factory manual states that check engine ligkt problem can be instrument cluster.But check engine light comes on and goes out when ignition switch is put on assy position.Thanks again.

Have you confirmed the fuel is squirting out of the injectors? I had this similar issue once with a bike that sat for years. Turned out the injectors were plugged with ethanol crystals. I swapped in a spare set of injectors I had and it fired right up.

I have no ground to system relay so no fuel.can't get codes because p diagnostics noresp.no check engine light.fuel pump runs if jumped.Thanks
