Hi Everyone,
My housemate is selling a 2004 VRSCB. Doesn’t have the time or inclination to ride anymore. Asking price is $12,000. The pictures don’t do it justice. It is in beautiful condition, hardly broken in at just under 2700 miles and never been dropped.
PM me if you are interested.
Lil

So what would a fair asking price be for this motorcycle?

Used HD's are a hard sell

I think 12k is a fair price but used Harley's, any model, are a very hard sell now. One 2004 V Rod in the SF bay area was advertised nationally for seven months before it sold and he got just under 10k for it. I have a 2003 Nightrain, 117 ci, 6 speed, 200mm rear, alloy wheels for 12k I've been advertising for a month now with no results.
You just have to be patient and lucky to get anything close to a fair price.

Lil from what I have seen anywhere between 9k and 11.5k is pretty much were they have been selling on here, Cycle Trader, and Ebay.

Sell the bags here separately get like $500

Yes. On a B they might not help make the sale. :)

I agree, take the easily-removeable stuff and sell them separately. You should be able to get $500 for the hardbags, $200 for the windshield. Put a $50 stock seat on it, and sell the reach seat for $150 -- now you can reduce the asking price to $11,200 and still come out the same.

Do you agree that taking some of the removable parts off and selling them would be good?

Absolutely take everything off the bike that can be sold separately and put it as close to stock as possible for the sale.

The bike is clean and has a ton of extras that only apply to a shorter person. I would do what the others said and go back to stock and list the parts on the forum. You could sell the parts to cover the current price trends.
