Just wanted to posted that on July 23-25, 2004, Carlisle Auto SHows is having their 3rd Annual Bike Meet.

A group of us hook up, from the Fairfax area and ride up on Friday; if you are interested I’ll keep you posted. We usually all meet up at the outlet Mall in Leesburg VA and take US-15 over into MD and then take back roads to Gettysburg PA.

Heck I am the Springfield area, you are welcome to join me and we’ll ride over to Leesburg together.

I am going to carlise this sat to look for some new rubber for the vette. I went to the Bike event last year. It is a must see. Good time for sure. Only saw 2 v-rods in the show and parking area. What do you say we change that with a good showing! :cheers:

Same goes for Gettysburg Bikeweek, usually get a group together and ride up through New Markey MD and then up back roads to G-Burg.

Yes! Yes! We're going to head down either Fri nite or early Sat morning. Christine wants to be there in time to get Paul Jr's autograph - LOL! But I'll be heading over to Lisa and Doug's fairly early in the afternoon to help get ready for the barbeque.

Now we have to figure out a time and place to meet on Sat late morning???

Anyone know a good place to meet?

Marilynh suggested these directions to the parking lot of a tractor dealership in Carlisle that's not too far from the fairgrounds:

Off of Rt 15, take Rt 94 North. It merges with and becomes Rt 34, and finally becomes S. Hanover Street at Carlisle. As you enter Carlisle, turn left at the first intersection (Noble Avenue) after you go under the Rt 81 overpass. There is a tractor dealer on the left corner and a school on the right.

We could plan to meet at the tractor dealership on Sat. morning say about 11? Then ride to the fairgrounds together.

To get to the fairgrounds:
Go a couple hundred yards down Noble Avenue, turn right on S. West Street. This is full of stop signs but is pleasant and goes past some interesting small neighborhoods and Dickinson College. When you get to the C Street or D street cross streets, you are about even with the fairgrounds. Depending on the size of the show attendance, we either park in that area or turn right and head closer to the fairgrounds.

Does this work? The v-rodladies will be meeting at the tractor dealership on Sun. at noon, too.
