I dropped my bike today on the way to a benefit run in a friends driveway. The driveway was on a hill made up of dirt and golf ball sized loose stones not very V-Rod friendly. The parts damaged were the left hand side radiator side cover, chrome inlet bezel. Is there anyone out there with these items collecting dust and are willing to part with? I found some on ebay but the bezels were damaged and I don't need both side covers. The shift linkage was also bent but put back in shape and a rock bent the shift shaft. The manual shows replacing the shift shaft as a relatively easy fix. Is this true? I am going to contact my local dealership for the shift shaft and seal. Thank you in advance. -Kevin

There are detailed instructions to be found on here about the shift shaft. The dealer says you have to split the case...but you do not.
