Guys,

I have read that Hale's or Chicago HD will give us 20% off of parts. Is there any ID we need to provide to get this, contact anyone in particular or?

Looking forward to your advice.

I sent Hales an email and all they wanted was the correct part numbers and they provided the discount prices. If I get serious and want to order, I would just call them to be safe. Lee was the person I was emailing with. Hales is about 75 miles from homeand I think I can go to any local dealer and get the same discount as Hales. I'll be trying soon.

John gave me those links awhile back, i used chicago.
i just punched in the part number for the drag bars and ordered,
no questions were asked about where i heard of the site or anything, automatically took the 20% off:)

Both places (Hale's and Chicago H/D) offer everyday 20% off parts on their websites. People say the Hale's tends to have a bigger stock of stuff they need at the particular time they order, but I have never had a problem with either. I guess because I am in the Army, I am used to waiting, and I rarely need something yesterday anyway. But I do like the 20% off everyday and will not buy anywhere else! My :2cents

You can also get 20% off from Crystal River H-D as long as you don't live in FL. Here is their web page: http://www.hdcrystalriver.com/

They have a toll free number too.

With Chicago, they have that website interface which never gives you any feedback as to whether the parts are in stock. I got the impression that they take orders for everything, then turn around and order the parts from the Mo. Just like my local dealer -- they never had the parts that I was looking for either.

My dealer must have trained their customers to wait 7 to 10 days for whatever they wanted. And thats at full price.

Hales on the other-hand, was bullied by the Mo (that's the way that they tell it) into taking down their website, and now you have to phone in your order. But at least you always know if the parts are in-stock when placing a phone order.

I could never wait that long. Hale's became the perfect compromise... I place the order, two days later it arrives by FedEx Ground (typical shipping has been $4 to $6 -- I think they charged me $10 when I ordered my SE slip-ons).

I have used Hales and Surdyke. I usually compare prices between the two. Surdyke does require you to know the part number you are looking for but I highly recommend. Every order I have placed has taken 1-2 weeks to fill and receive. They also run specials and closeouts that can save you 25-50% but it is pot luck.

Thanks for the tip on Surdyke's. I just ordered a set of hard saddlebags for 25% off msrp! Saved me well over $200 bucks!

Yeah- I know the bike looks better without the bags- but being able to take stuff with me is the difference between being able to take the bike, or having to take the car.
