Does the water pump impeller just screw off and which way does it screw I can't see any threads sticking out so I don't know which way I'm assuming against the way it rotates while running please help

It's a water pump assembly, impeller is "part" of the inside housing. Tap inner water pump housing with soft hammer to break loose from block.

Got it off came off easy looks like I definitely need new gaskets and that's about it I'm going to replace the o-rings. Thank you frogman_h2o

New gaskets are always a must, unless you like doing the job twice.
