Do a color code search on antifreeze and pretty sure you will be dumping the green. I'd do a flush and use the stuff rated for these aluminum engines. Green uses different additives and some even contain silicates.

Problem is, I have no idea what coolant is in this bike right now because it is a rebuild and it's 16 years old. Previous owner has no information on what was in it. All the posts on the caps breaking off makes me reluctant to do a flush, and after looking at the tube on the overflow bottle, the stuff looks pretty clean but it is light green in color.
The HD stuff I thought was orange/red.
I don't know if there is a sure way to test it/figure out what it is and I read that mixing could cause some serious woes. Might give it a sip and see if I can sample some at AutoZone![]()
Any ideas?
