Because of all the activities that we have planned we wanted a meeting place for Saturday for the BBQ and to meet in general. I went ahead and reserved the Party Barn that they have at Basswood for that entire day. It will give us a place to meet and eat and socialize. Also if scubarod wants to do the breakfast there it has a full kitchen. It has a bar, kitchen and dance floor and can handle up-to 100 people.

Anyone measured the stock handlebar height above the seat? I'll bet its close to 15"....

So this is the first annual get together? I guess I thought that's what we did in Daytona! It seems as though people would be a lot more likely to make it there than KC every year. Just a thought.

screamin-v this is a trip to the factory that builds the bikes and a meeting of just V-Rods. I think we can call this our own rather then just meeting up while were already at an event.

Just took a measurement. from the handlebars to my sundowner seat is 14 1/2" . Whew.

Lodging

I called the place you guys are staying and it's booked up, can anyone tell me where else we can stay thats close to the events. I plan on making a trip to the Weld Racing Factory on Thursday if anyone in town is interested. I think it will be fun to see how they make these wheels I just got.

Hey Rick, If I were you, I'd call the folks back at Basswood and ask them for the names of hotels in Platte City. Since Basswod is essentially in Platte City, that would be your best bet. They're real nice fols and I'm sure they would shoot you straight. Since I don't live up that way, I can not advise you of where or where not to stay. If they don't pan out, let me know and I'll call the chamber of commerce up there and get some names for you.

When I did she told me to call the Chamber of Commerce, Ricky G. has extended an offer, now I need to figure out how to get my bike there.
