I'm curious to see what you can come up with. Mrs Fester is only 5'0" and I'm hoping one of these days we can get her her own VR.

Oh, and welcome!!!
I'll let ya know, for sure! Love my V-Stars though... I can flat foot both of them :)

Hi there and WELCOME TO THE FORUMS.

Just a suggestions, try hitting the "Quote" button at the bottom right of peoples messages instead of the reply button. That way we know which message you are responding to.

And forget Jessica Rabbit... go for a real shot of you on the bike!!!

Thanks for the tip ;)
I'll see what I can do about the pic!

Mike/Larry,
I'll see what I can do about the heels! I'm sure they look good but remember... high heels only make me a whopping 5'3"... Prolly not exactly "turn on" material! LOL!

I'll be a little different and suggest new exhaust as well... I know it sounds funny, but on my 03A, I couldn't put my right leg straight down without burning it on the exhaust. The stock exhaust sticks out pretty far. Now with the 2-1 Rineharts it's much better.

Did I mention that I  red-heads... :D
Tell me about it! It does have the Screaming Eagle Exhaust which sounds MUCH better than the stock pipes, but man... do they give off some heat or what?

Did I mention that I  the Captain Morgan pose on the right man (and in the right underwear)? :D

I have to respectfully disagree. For us "redhead connoisseurs", barefoot and bid overalls would still be a turn on. Well..., maybe only in Ky. LOL.

Good luck and welcome aboard. Just keep the bike in motion and you shouldn't have a reach problem. I have to admit, some of the road around DC, VA and MD and not the best with the ruts and grooves, and can be vertically challenging at times when stopping me. :)

Thanks again for all the welcomes. I see there are some local folks out there to the DC Metro area too. Very cool! In fact COLD! Did any of you see the snow flurries out there yesterday and today??? They're killing my riding time, dontcha know???

Hey all. I'm new here and have been kind of lurking on and off while deciding whether to buy a V-Rod. I've been feeling the need for power (I have a V-Star Custom) and finaly went ahead and bought my dream bike. It's a 2003 V-Rod Anniversary Edition! Love it, love it, love it!

Now... my question. I'm a short chick (under 5'1") and have already put on the reduced reach foot controls and reach seat, but would like to be about 1 1/2 inches closer to the ground so I can flat foot the bike. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

80 degrees on Tuesday, snow flurries today. Got to love that DC weather.

Couldn't believe the snow. Beautiful one day, freezing the next! Like I always tell people around here, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute."

Last Monday and Tuesday was so nice, that I had left my bike outside failing to check the weather with the intent of riding to work in DC on Wednesday. The rain woke me up in the morning. I was not happy leaving my baby outside all day in the rain. :banghead: Next time I'll call the weather, and call it every hour. lol
