Does anyone have pictures of D-Bars on their X?

Or does anyone have ANY picture for that matter of different bars on their bike.

I'm 5'8" and need another 2 to 3 inches. My dealer is clueless as to what will fit on the bike.....

Cool....any idea where I can get them? What are "D" bars anyways? Are they a harley stock item? If so, part #?

Sorry this is my first Harley....I'm kind of learning as I go along.

What's the pullback difference? 2"....3"? Do you know?

Thanks for the quick response.

I put some Dyna bars on mine. They're not for everyone, and some people thought i was crazy, but I really like them, especially for longer rides. I haven't had any steering or performance problems at all like everyone said I would. I'm 5'7" with back issues and it's a much more comfortable ride. Check out my gallery if you want to see a pic.

They are the same, I believe, as streetbob. They are the Dyna bars that they put on most Dynas. Just miniapes. I only regret not having them powdercoated before I put them on (internal wiring). I had the cables specially made. The stealer loved me...ha! I had to change all the cables, but I was going with braided anyway. Thanks for the compliment. I usually get..."why would you put apes on a sport bike?" Like I said...they aren't for everyone, but I love them. By the way, thanks for hooking me up with Shiningrmur...he's the man!

mmcc100. Great looking bike. I am new to this forum and I am here for the sole reason that I may want to buy a V-ROD over a new pushrod. Every Harley I ever owned has had apes and I wanted to see what a V-rod would look like with the dyna mini-apes. I have been thinking about the nightrod with black apes. Your smart looking bike is really pushing me towards the V-rod.

Thanks! It's broken down now getting a new front wheel and back wheel powdercoated. I have some new jugghuggers, but am waiting on more $ for a PCIII. It seems like the more I do, the more "needs" to be done, and the smaller my bank account looks. I guess I could have worse addictions. I debated on some other bikes too. I looked at a fatboy and a Deuce, even looked a Buell, but always knew that it would be the vrod. Probably some of the same reservations you have...I had. I grew up on dirt bikes, and have owned a BMW R100, and a sportster (it was stolen which led me to the vrod). I was not dissapointed with the V!!! This forum is great too. In the short time I've been here I feel like I know many of these people. It's kind of refreshing in my cynical little mind. These are the only others I have seen with taller bars on them (not too good with attatchments) Do not know who's bikes, but I like them. The black one is from V-mod.com gallery and the other is a member or friend of a member here.

Sorry night rodr. I didn'tmean to highjack your post. I don't get much adult conversation, especially about bikes. (I'm a kindergarten teacher). I'm not sure what kind of bars you are looking for, but this forum is a great place to find answers.

MMCC you are welcome for the intro, I love my bracket. your bike is awesome looking. do you know the exact length of the custom cables you had made. I am considering doing this to my night rod and if I do I will have the cables custom made in black braid.

Bikerlaw welcome. I have been on pushrods for 26 years and all I can say is I will never go back.

have a look in the hd catolog, they do a set of "reach" bars for the vrscb part no.56150-04 they bring the bars 2" nearer $49.95.i'm in the process of changing the bars on my dx to vrsca setup as i find them much more comfortable.

Hey Rodr...I sent you a PM regarding this...

I bought some DX bars from gunnysgt and love the bars (minus the scratch they came with) - I think I may keep my B bars just in case. The drag bars give me the stretch I was looking for plus they look "bad" on the bike.

Has anybody gone the other way DX bars on a D? Would you still need to swap cables or could you hide the slack?
Thanks, Sean

So do you guys think that B bars reduce the reach more than the D bars? I want whichever is going to come back as far as possible.....
