That's a whole lotta riding on a V Rod in a day MIG ! - were you able to use the stock thumbscrew on throttle cruise control or do you have an aftermarket lever setup ?
I can definitely go farther in a day on my full touring Triumph Rocket III, but she's like riding a recliner (and just as fast). When I purchased my Muscle the sales guy warned me never to use the built in throttle lock... so I haven't. I presume because it's possible to overtighten... but have no experience. I was going to use a Go Cruise 2 but found with no windscreen, I had to to firmly grip both handgrips at freeway speeds. I was able to lock my wrist and just lean back (again more comfortable because of the budman riser). What I have changed since that ride is the stock foot pegs. I had to keep heavy pressure on them or my legs would fly off. It didn't help I was wearing my deployment combat boots vice true motorcycle boots with a heel shelf.

It was crazy FUN!... yes. I rode between 400-600 miles per day stopping at family and friends along the way. They bring the bars back about .75" and raise them 2.5". I'm 5'10" and for me personally, it is a more comfortable riding position and easier on my bad back for longer rides.

Rock on, I'm close to that @ 5 11 so I would like the extra height and less hunchback, I can't go for more than 100mi. until I'm hurtin. Budget conscientious here, what did it set you back? Links? I would LOVE to have THAT much fun on my 2012DXANN!!!

CONGRATS on your new Pride & Joy!

Here's my nearly stock '16 as I rode from Augusta, Georgia to Tucson, Arizona this past summer... An absolutely beautiful adrenaline filled ride!
I have the budman risers and just replaced the head light with a Hogworz couple weeks ago (not pictured).

She's Bute! Looks just like mine except I've got 14" apes on mine soon to be changed out. Question on the bag is there a matching one on the right side. I've been looking for something like that. I came across bad g bags and he makes a throw over set that looks very similar.

Another general question, I got the lowering kit off last night, greatly improved the stance and I am sure the handling will be a bit better as I've read. What is the groups thoughts on shcks for these beasts. It looks as if I've got bagger shocks on mine and there seems to be a lot of options for air shocks and then Ohlins. Whose running what and thoughts please!

There's a company that makes a small lever to replace the thumb wheel and it works real good for taking the load off the throttle spring on the highway in low traffic- sorry don't know the name but it's a well made piece, your thumb sets it by pushing the lever forward then your fingers can disengage it, by pushing aft on the lever - a flight of the thumb and it's back in the fully disengaged position - I got mine installed at Bike week -

I think this is what was installed on my VRSCR when I got the bike used.

Lucky You ! And Thanks, yea, that the one I got installed at bike week - the one review on the link was what I found also, it took too much lever movement to get ess than ideal holding power out of it. The installer stated he wasn't 100% happy also but I found out some of that was a worn throttle tube - when I installed a new G2 quick turn throttle it worked better as there was less play between the throttle tube and new handlebars. It works best on the open road with low traffic where you're not setting it and disengaging it constantly.
Takes the load off the wrist and much better than nothing at all or that stupid H-D OEM thumbwheel ! (y)
