I picked up an ‘06 VRSCR with under 6k miles a couple of weeks ago. This forum seems to be about the only place to find any info on this model! So, thanks for that and for future intel. I got the blue one. V&H 2-1 exhaust. Corbin seat. Otherwise it seems stock. I’d like to have the oem parts, but they seem hard to find or $$$. I love the bike so far!

And again the picture isn’t showing up. When I delete it and re-attach it, it shows up for a while. Is/was anyone able to see it?

I’m not crazy about the faux “snakeskin“ print on the Corbin seat. It doesn’t show well in the picture until you zoom in. I didn’t realize it wasn’t just leather in the ad when it was for sale. Not that I would have passed on it over that, but I’d like to find an OEM seat set for the bike that doesn’t cost as much as a new Corbin. And from what I’ve read here, the V&H 2-1 exhaust was one of the few exhausts made for the R back in the day. But it’s louder than I like. I’ll keep an eye out for a stock take-off system.

Things I don’t like about the bike are few and are not surprises. The clutch pull is very stiff - well known. And the mirrors are useless. I haven’t ridden it hard in the twisties yet as the tires were new in 2013 😄.
I like the neutral seating position.

The "stock" seat is typical HD, thin and not much padding. A slipper clutch will fix a large part of the hard pull. Use Ronnies microfiche for part numbers and search the web, Ronnies,Fleabay and Vintage parts in Wisconsin are a few good sources. It's a fun bike in the twisties, but you won't be knee dragging with it.
