Yes it is as long as you have a torque wrench and an assistant to stand on the rear brake while you torque the clutch hub bolt.
I'm no mechanical genius, am handy with tools, and I did mine with no problem.

Gentlemen, sorry for the long delay in this matter. To be honest, I got frustrated and just put the bike away for the winter. Tore back into it yesterday. Rebuilt the slave. All the rubber in it was bad. When I bought this bike, it had pretty much sat for almost 6 years. Had 812 miles on it. I believe this may have had something to do with the bad rubber in the slave. I pulled it out and ran my finger across it, and chunks of rubber virtually peeled off and stuck to my finger. Anyway, rebuilt that, and I'm sure that will resolve one of the issues.

Since the rubber was bad in the slave, I figured the rubber in the master cylinder had probably suffered the same fate. So, I go to the Dealership to get a rebuild kit (I had researched this and pretty much knew this was a discontinued item, which is fricking bullshit, but evidently there was a recall on this kit forced by the Government, and now there are no more) and they tell me another rebuild kit will work, all my research is wrong, and I don't have to spend a small fortune on a whole new master cylinder. Well, I took them for their word, took the rebuild kit, and went back and tore into the master cylinder. Once I got it apart, it was obvious this kit, doesn't work in my master cylinder. I definitely have the one that has the discontinued kit. Of course, by the time I got to this point, the Dealership has now closed for the day. So, as of right now, I am still frustrated, and not done fixing this thing. I am going to be furious if I have to buy a whole new master cylinder for hundreds of dollars, when this should be a $15 fix. Either way, I'll report back when I'm finally done with this!

Okay. I guess I was wrong about the rebuild kit for the master cylinder. The old one was discontinued, but the do make another one now. Picked it up at the Dealer, and will finish this up later this evening. I will report back!

Update! Fixed!

Well, I would have saved myself a lot of time, effort and money if I had checked the rubber in the slave and the master cylinder, before I did anything else. Live and learn. Oh well, I had been reading about the slipper clutch anyway, so I guess it was a good excuse to install one.

Yeah, I know it’s an old thread....TIA?

What is “the slave” referred to above? Is that the Secondary Clutch Actuator? This thread is about a clutch issue.
