Put a set of stock skins on it, change all the easy to swap out stuff to stock, take it down and get it insured, then swap all the good stuff back on. It may not be insured for the big custom bike $$$ but still better than nothing. Most insurance companies will cover some custom stuff under the regular policy but the really full on customs will cost you some bucks.

Meaning ... when the shit hits the fan and the bike gets stolen or total damaged, i might get the stock price bike or even a new stock bike... not the idea at all of an insurance... that's a loss of about half or more of the bike's value...

TRY HD own Insurers!

Zee,

sounds like they are just trying to turn the business down. I would agree with Matt's advice. I am guessing that Harley have an affiliate insurer in most countries and this is the route I would advise. They usually take a reasonable approach even with the heavily modded bikes just as long as they remain essentially a Harley. Most insurers start to get twitchy with bikes costing over ÂŁ30K. Like Matt says you can make some savings by limiting use and increasing excess. Suggest you call your HD european insurance line I am hoping you will be pleasantly suprised.

If all else fails I can always look after it for you in the UK!

Best of luck with this.
