Hi everyone, I picked up an 02 about 3 months ago with 2200 miles. Was going to leave it stock, but reading the post on this site and looking at pics of your bikes, I caught the modding bug.
First mod was the handle bars. Installed the Flanders drag bars. Waiting on the Joker Machine bar end mirrors.

I also relocated the front and rear turn signals along with my license plate.
I'm waing for my Hogpro 240 swing arm kit along with my new rear wheel. Should be here by Thursday.
I'm also installing an air suspension. I'm still trying to decide between Arnott and Legend. I like how the Arnotts are chrome but read a few post that the finish are not good and chrome pealing off. The legends are a bit more expensive but have a life time warranty. I'm not to crazy about the exposed rubber on them. Those who have installed Arnotts a couple of years ago, any regrets?
Thanks, Nick

Makbros,

Followed one like your's through town last Friday and I must say that they are beautiful right out of the box. Things that I considered changing on mine such as the rear fender (less dogs ass) was part of that assessment.

I bought an extra anodized rear fender the other day. Once I install the air suspension and 240 swing arm I will chop the rear fender down above the original brake light and add a led strip brake and turn signal lights.

I`ve been running Arnotts some yrs now, still doing their trick, customerservice is
medium, crazy high shipping costs overseas (spareparts), had to powdercoat outer covers -turned purple.. "Next" time I`ll go for Legend (actually I like their look).

2200 miles? Hardly broken in. Congrats with cool garage & wheel!
Keep us posted, we all like building threads..

Welcome to the forum thats a clean ride, enjoy it when you get ready to go for the 240 mod you can use your stock swingarm...just do a search for 240 mod conversion for the details.
Thanks, Did a search, and went the Hogpro route, 240 swing arm and 8 1/2 wheel.

I went with the solid wheel so I can keep the stock theme.

SWEET bike, tasteful approach on mods.

TWINOAK - why black out the plate, I never understood this when people do this online.....10s of thousands of people see your license plate every time you ride.
10's of thousands?

Thieves use the net to search for that particular part or year bike. Skin colors, after-market, ect. The bike is not only stationary, but with great pics from all sides, and if not enough, the owner usually lists all the mods, including internals, making it easy a hell for them.

On the road your are moving at least, and plate viewing can't be helped. This can. But to each his own, do waht you see as wise.

Makbros,

It could be something as simple as a criminal giving the police your tag number along with a detailed description of your motorcycle to throw the police off track. Regardless of the possibilities it will not lead to anything good.

Ron
Not to mention a psychotic member having access to your address? LOL! Right Ron?

There are ALWAYS crazy knuckleheads out there that will want your ride no matter what!
