Have an 06 A model. On the models with the B riser what happens to the electrical wires as it does seem right to feed through the riser and out the one inch clamps. I assume they move up through the headlamp mount through the triple tree. Any pics would help too. Rick.

YEs they fit nicely through, I had to get creative with a couple of the connectors and zip tie them together 1st, I also lowered my signals to the forks so those wires go out the side as you see in the photo.

So the clamping action didn't cut off any electrical? I've heard of that issue before. My signals are on the forks as well.

Nope, only problem I have had is the plugging in the speedo to the bike is a bit tight on the new set up is all. None of my wire etc... are rubbing or under any kind of pressure though so If yours are there might be a problem, but as I said I ran the wires through and a lot fit inside the bottom part no problem, little cramped but thats it.

Great info. I was wondering more about the wires leading to the horn/starter/signals etc. Where as the A clamshell had them hidden underneath the clamshell go up and out the opening to follow the bar it appears B risers have them not do that and move up the bar through the cutouts on the triple tree. Once you tighten down the riser it seems like it would case damage to the wires in the hands bar clamps/risers. But it appears many are putting it out the sister clamps. I need a close up pic of an older night rod to see how the factory did it.

On the B models the wires to the hand switch assemblies run on the outside of the bars.
Many guys have depinned the connectors, routed the wires through bars and reconnected them, and also have enlarged holes in bars to help with this.
May seem daunting but not too bad. DO a search, there are threads about this or perhaps Lux may respond on what he did, I think he routed his wires internally. He used "Z" bars which are even more tricky to do this and managed it alright.

I did NOT nor can I find anyone who will run my wires through these Z Bars, they are ugly inside and near impossible to do. As I said earlier, I used some zip ties etc... to keep the wires bundled tight and under the riser and headlamp.
