For a few weeks, I had noticed that my belt looked awful close to my tire. I have 260 Metz, so technically this should be a non-issue. Fast forward to now, as I was rolling down my driveway, I felt some resistance with the rear wheel. I inspected my tire and noticed that the belt is indeed scraping against the left edge.

Can someone advise as to what is causing this and how this can be addressed? Attached are couple of pix...

@BT - The pulley was changed when I swapped my wheels out...over 1-1/2 ago. It is similar to stock, only difference...it was made to match my wheels. My tire pressure is set to 40 PSI

@FrodTim - I am looking at about approx 1-2mm on mine and if I sit I think it ends up touching. It definitely was not like this. But ure number definitely helps for reference.

@BT - what size tire r u running? I think 5mm sounds more like what I should be seeing as well considering I am running a 260..

Does this mean that belt is loose or tight? Is the rear wheel not aligned properly?

Wheel not aligned properly?, look at the adjusters and see if they look different

That was my thought since you didn't have an issue before

@lastinline - do u have any pix I can use for reference as to what it's supposed to look like?

I had put little magic marker dots where the little roller is on the swing arm as reference for when I removed mine, pics are of both sides also took a measurement from the RIM not tire to the flat top part of the swing arm on both sides, belt side is 2 5/16 other side is 1 1/2 measurement is at the front most area of rim to swing arm if it doesn't make sense I'll take some pics

You should of texted or called. I got off work a bit early today. If you dont get it taken care of by Sunday let me know maybe I can swing by.

Did you have any work done on the rear wheel lately? Sounds like the rear wheel is out of alignment. Start by checking the tire distance on both sides of the swing arm.

@lastinline - thx for the pix n measurements.

A quick glance n my adjusters look about the same. I am gonna have to compare measurements in the morning.

@swimdad - no work to the rear wheel. I'll check the tires and rim measurements per lastinline.

If I can't figure it out, I may hit u up. I spoke to Jackson n he thinks the belt is loose. I am gonna pick up a belt tension gauge tomorrow n see if something is off...but a slight feel test did not show much slack.

Keep me updated. This might be something that others could look out for.

The picture with the adjusters, Looking at the roll pins that are in the swingarm.

The one on the right side sitting on the bike looks to be smashed in.
This will cause the tire to be misaligned.

Thus causing the belt to rub the tire.

Good Luck
