Wondering what size the pivot bolt on an r model is, and how wide the frame is or from where to where do I have to measure... I have a lead on a extended 250 mono shock swingarm with wheel an tire.. Thanx in advance

I measured 10.1378" for the frame width between the swingarm pivots. The pivot shaft diameter is 0.982" where it passes through the transmission case and the right side spherical bearing (this section is 7.909" long). Where the pivot shaft passes through the right side plain pivot bearing the diameter is 1.180" (this section is 3.377" long). The total length of the pivot shaft is 14.355".

Its easier to use metric here. The right side of the shaft is 30mm the rest of it is 25mm. To fit in a mono shock you would probably need about 4 inches of stretch at minimum. It would be possible to fabricate an upper mount using the frame bolt holes for the existing shock mounts and fender inner brace, but the shock will need to be very short ( & fatter) and you will probably have a conflict with the mounting angle to keep the shock in compression. What are you trying to accomplish with this ?

In metric the measurements are 29.97 mm on the right side and 24.94 mm on the left.

Rounding up to 30 mm and 25 mm might be easier but it's not the same measurement.

A 30 mm shaft would be a press fit in the right side plain bearing as would a 25 mm shaft in the left side spherical bearing.
