Oooohhh! Of course it's "clearly" stated: TM AT.... WTF?!?! Thunder Max Auto Tune? :spank:

GDFCMOESPTHSTLATIIABOLYAHTDTU!!!

You're missing a few vowels if that red stuff says something about your appreciating my keen awesomeness ..

:moon:

Now, finish yer thought. This is a highly technical thread numbnutz:lamer:

Just wondering if those couple before/after dynos where done with the bike properly tuned before and properly tuned after, noy only a random dyno run to check how much hp it gives with stock airbox, then install the MH and THEN tune the bike, leaving a margin of error if the bike was actually out of tune in the first run with the stock airbox. Probably some of these examples where properly tuned both times and some weren't and that's why it yields so different results. If Mr. Motohooligan only pulled 5-6 HP from it in the first place (hell if there where 10-15 extra HPs there, don't you think HE would've been the first to found them?!) Just food for thought... :coff:

Spare parts

2 questions:
1. Can the Motohooligan air box use an AmsOil Filter, or does it have to be a K&N? I don't care which one is better, from what I have read on here, I have decided that the amsoil filter better suits me.

2. Where is the best place to get an amsoil filter to replace my stock filter, and how much do they cost?

It's a good looking airbox and thinking about it myself but not into the chrome thing myself. Anyway with out looking through the whole 18pages of responses. Is the blue line topless with the stock airbox. My bike got a very nice little punch as well as a mean growl from the airbox when I went topless. If it's not I am curious if most of the gains were gained from simply runing the bike topless?

Mine was topless prior to changing over to the M airbox. There's a defined difference (improvement) in the performance of the bike, and mine has already had alot done prior to the M airbox install.

I agree. I added the box to my 1402 that was already running topless and had to add a bunch of fuel to my map using the VRFI3. No dyno proof but the need to add fuel and the seat of the pants results are enough to convince me the thing works.

Wow. Looks great. But where will I store all the electrical crap I now have in the bottom tub of the stock air box?

:hidesbeh:

any one got any pics of the black anodized air box installed?
They're not the best quality photos but here are a few:

Actually they're already in THIS thread!

Cheers,

I realize this is almost a three year old thread but it appears that motohooligan doesn't make this anymore? Nothing on their website at least.

Wouldn't be surprised if they don't. $400 air cleaner kit giving maybe 3hp and is hidden under the airbox cover....not that I'm jealous of those that have one or anything. :D
