Hi, I have been doing alot of reading here on the forum and have a question I can't seem to find.
I want to change the oil in my 06' Night Rod to Amsoil. I bought the bike used from a dealership and don't know if it has regular oil or synthetic in it now. If it does not have syn. in it now, do I need to do anything special to change it over to the Amsoil 20w-50 synthetic? I mean, do I have to buy some sort of engine flush first and use it before switching or what?
Any info on this would be appriciated.
Thank you for your time.

Just drain and fill!

Complete proper oil change with filter will require installation of 5 quarts of oil

Put the rear tire up on a 1" board, this will give it a little more flow and get as much of the old oil out as possible. Install Amsoil filter with a full 5 quarts of the good stuff, as AOW said. Done.

ETA: Here is a how-to vid:

Good question and good answers!
