Sneak peek. Bought another set of stock bars so my wife's bike didn't have any downtime and had them powder coated. I'll post more info tomorrow and it has a little something to do with a relay :D

looks good, you are starting to develop a one of a kind, some how I think before long there will be a lot more black than shine and the only color white. It's very interesting watching the bike evolve

i could be wrong but it seems like the wifes bike is getting more and more like your "black" ride??????

Update: I got the extra set of bars so I could take them to get powder coated without having my wife's bike disassembled for a week or so. When I got em back from PC, I installed em in about an hour. It was easier than I thought. I snipped the left and right hand control wire harness and blinker wires about two inches from the plugs that are located under the left side airbox cover. I unbolted the levers, hand control switches and pulled the wires out of the bars (super easy). pulled the bars off, pulled the guage cluster, installed the new bars, loose fit the levers and switches and snaked the wires back through. I soldered the wires back together, e-taped each wire then put heat shrink over it. plugged everything back in, put the maxi fuse back in and bingo, everything back to normal, new gloss black bars. Here's the relay: I will sell my wife's bars (2011 F with 1200 miles), first come wins, for $125 shipped in the U.S. You get the bars, get em painted or powder coated, install and sell your bars to the next person and you have new bars for the cost of powder coating or paint with about 1 hour of downtime. PM me if you're interested.

ShaDi got the bars. I recommend posting in this thread to keep the bars going forward.

THAT BIKE is the sweetest looking muscle I've ever seen... And I'm not even a huge fan of the F to begin with. Well done! :notworth:

Did you paint or powder coat those forks?
Its 3M vinyl wrap. It's pretty durable, I've had it on my DX for a couple years. Super easy install.....and most important, cheap.

Looks great. But you did all that work and left the brake/clutch levers stock and did paint/pc them black? Doesn't seem like your style.:notworth:
