sooner or later I WILL make it down there, I may trailer there and back if that makes most sense time wise..... one of these summers!!

Give me a call Jeff. My parents have a house in dearborn, but live in Brooklyn. House is pretty much empty with a garage. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to keep them there. The house is between telegraph and gulley and Michigan ave and cherry hill. Let me know what ya need, not a problem.

Thanks for the offers of help- as soon as I know when for sure (and I don't think there is an immediate rush). I'll contact you guys.
One member is going to drop them off to another member and it's not like they are huge- just bug fenders for the rear.

I'm not moving very fast on the project anyway- just recently I was putting up new closet doors and the last screw on the floor slipped and I pushed my electric drill with a phillips head tip thru my thumb. You can see where it tried to come out the other side.
Also imagine the bit spinning while in my thumb- would have killed a lessor man than me....

But, it's gonna make me lose another week while I keep the injury clean-sigh.

That reminds me of a joke about what is funny or fun.

Billy hears noise coming from his parents bedroom- he opens the door and sees his parents having XXX. He looks at his father with concern and says, "What are you doing to Mom?"
His father says, "It's alright Billy, me and your mother are just having some fun. Now go back to bed and I will be in there to check on you soon."

A little later the father goes to check on Billy and hears noises coming from Billy's room. He opens the door to see Billy having XXX with grandma.

The father says, "What is going on in here?!"

Billy looks at his father and says, "Not so funny when it's YOUR mom is it?" :rofl:

To All You Gun Totin' Mo'Fo's

Since Michigan now is a 'shall issue' state for Concealed Carry and if you are interested in being able to carry legally, there is a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) class being conducted on Sunday February 28, 2010. This is an all day affair that includes the required class training and range time for your certificate. Lunch will be included.

The cost is $100 for the class (which I've seen around these parts for $225). The county will charge you another $105 to accept your application and you need a set of fingerprints taken by your local police or sheriff department which could amount to another $20 and a passport sized photo.

If you are a Michigan resident and are interested, glance over the requirements included in this document <-- (click). PM me if you are serious as the class is filling quickly.

I just spoke to Bill, this class is in westland if that helps

my brother and I have been dithering about getting our CPL's for too long and I'm happy to say we are both going to take this class! it's on a sunday so no excuses, anyone else wanna hit the range with us that day???

You probably can't shoot straight anyway.....

We are going to have a new event at MWT5....

While riding your V-Rod, draw and fire two rounds on each of five targets... reholster. Reload (if necessary) when stopped. Riding the opposite direction, repeat. Best 4 hits on each target will be scored. All we have to do is come up with a name (and a gun range... :D).

All these guys shooting in the same place at the same time? I'm also glad I'm on this side of the border. :angeldev:

Me and stomper will have to make sure Gary knows we're picking up our stuff well in advance, in case he sees 2 guys walking in the front yard and decides to practise his skills :hiding:

I work in Dearborn, and live right next door, I have room in my garage to store some VW fenders no problem.
